When I decided to start this podcast, I already knew who I wanted to be my first guest.
Now Alexis and I had never met, which I realize is not that unusual in this online world. We hadn’t even communicated at all. We were both part of an online course and in a very large Facebook Group and it was Alexis’ response to a post from one group member bemoaning the fact that she was 45 and wondered if it was just too late for her to start a business.
Alexis’ response was inspirational. She briefly told of her journey at starting an online business at the age of 62, a story that you will hear in this interview, plus the circumstances that prompted her into this undertaking.
I asked Alexis to be my first guest on this podcast and the moment we got on together, we just started talking as if we had known each other forever.
For those of us who have ever felt the sting of defeat in our careers and wondered if we would be able to transform our working life into something completely different, Alexis’ story will inspire you.
