Recently I have been deeply conflicted about something.
All the attention on these freaking Facebook Messenger Bots has been driving me crazy!
People are raving about how the open rates and responses to Messenger bots beats email marketing by a mile.
I don’t doubt that. Email marketing is getting more challenging every day as we have so many ways that people can reach is.
I personally think the bot thing is so hot now and the open rates are off the charts because it’s a NOVELTY.
And, at least the ones that I have seen, there is very little personalization, although I think there are ways to let subscribers self-select topics of interest.
I have started to unsubscribe from the Bot subscriptions I have tried because I personally find them distracting and intrusive.
I also have also been conflicted about the benefits of automating aspects of my business, but despaired at the lack of real, personal connection with people.
Then I found Bonjoro.
Bonjoro is a tool that (in their words) “… is the simplest way to send a personal video message to your customers.”
(God I love it when a company cuts through all the crap and just tells you what they hell they do, don’t you?)
Bonjoro helps you to send an email to a new contact (subscriber, prospect, customer, etc) with a link to a personalized video message to that person. It helps you to connect on a more personal level, than a basic, generic written response.
In today’s show I cover:
- How Bonjoro can accelerate the “know, like and trust” factor
- Why using Bonjoro is “better than a bot” (in my opinion)
- The one tool that you can use with Bonjoro to cut down on the amount of time to connect with new subscribers and customers
This morning I had already planned on talking about Bonjoro and, in a flash of brilliance (or perhaps it was the second cup of coffee kicking in), I decided that I should create a regular episode of Simple Steps to Online Success and call it “Techie Tool Time”.
On these shows I would not only demo the tool for you, but provide you with a cheat sheet to summarize the tool and help you decide if it’s something you want to incorporate in your business.
You can get the #techietooltime cheatsheet for Bonjoro right here
